Olivia's 2nd Birthday Party

Olivia's Birthday party this year was on Saturday (the day before her birthday). Since we had just gone Abby Cadabby crazy for Halloween, I figured, what the heck, let's continue the theme. My parents, sister and nephew came down the night before--they were our first house guest in the new house. We got to enjoy breakfast together on Saturday morning. Olivia and Lucas really enjoyed the Blueberry Jam we got at Jim's Produce on our trip to Boone.

We decided to go with a party around lunch time so that kids wouldn't be too cranky. We had lots of family there and some friends from church. After lunch, Olivia went right to opening presents. I could have just bought her balloons and she would have been happy.

This year the theme on gifts was baby dolls--she got 3 of them.

Uncle Gary and Aunt Debra sent an adorable pair of snowman footie pajamas and a cardigan sweater which Olivia modeled for everyone.

She also got a tricycle which she had fun trying to ride inside. Her favorite part is the little secret compartment in the back that she hides all kinds of stuff in (most recently her milk).
I went a lot less crazy on her cake this year. Just a simple color coordinated round cake with a 2 on it. Olivia of course went right for the icing--even before we got the candles lit.

This is the best picture we got of all 3 of use. Olivia was very interested in eating the icing, not having her picture made. It was a lot of fun! I can hardly believe that she is 2--she is growing up so fast!
