For MLK, Jr day, Olivia and I headed to Columbia, South Carolina to EdVenture, a really cool children's museum. We met with my oldest friend, Jen and her girls Seren and Harper. This is actually the first time Olivia and Seren have met, though they acted like they had known each other forever. This children's museum had a lot of similarities to Discovery Place Kids, in Huntersville, which we have visited a few times in the past year. The girls enjoyed playing in the firetruck, cooking in the kitchen, shopping at the grocery store, working at the vet's office, and driving a bulldozer.
Their favorite exhibit was Timbuktu, where they could cook in a hut, catch fish in a canoe, and play African drums.
We ended our visit climbing through Eddie's, a huge playplace with slide, ladders, and bouncing mats designed like the human body.
After lunch at Chick-Fil-A and playing on their playground, the girls were worn out.
Olivia fell asleep within a few minutes of leaving. We can't wait to get to visit with Jen, Seren, and Harper again soon!
