3 Month Update

Ava turned 3 months old yesterday. We spent the weekend visiting Asheboro for Olivia and Ava's cousin's birthday and visiting Bart's Nanny. It was our first trip out of town since Ava was born. She did great. She slept all night long in my old crib at my parent's house. She also survived and even took a nap during the birthday party at a very loud and active bounce house place. We had a great time and Ava got some quality time with her grandparents.

Granddaddy put Ava to sleep in the very loud bouncy house place (with the help of her thumb)
Mickey Mouse was the party theme! Didn't my sister do a great job on the cake and cupcakes! Homemade buttercream icing and all! They were yummy! Olivia had a slice of cake and a cupcake!
Buddies!
Hot and sweaty from all the bouncing!

Since she did not have a check up at the pediatrician this month, so I don't have any official stats.
     Weight: 10 + pounds
     Height: close to 23 inches
     Head circumference: ?
     Vaccines: next month
Wearing: 0-3 Month, except for footie sleepers, she wears 3-6 months
Sleeping: Really well. She started sleeping all night long the week after I went back to work at 10 weeks old. I woke her up for a few mornings between 4 and 5, but she didn't eat very well when I did that, so we started letting her sleep until we had to get her up for the day. She usually gets 1 good nap in a day and 2 other naps.
Eating: All breast milk now. She is taking 3, 4oz. bottles at her grandparents during the day while I am at school. She is gradually working her way up to 4.5oz. bottles.
Playing: She is moving around a lot more. She loves to stand up and lay flat on her back a kick. She also is starting to reach out and grab for toys hanging over her head and rattles.
Personality: She is very easy going, unless she has gas, then she gets frantic! She sucks her thumb, so if she does happen to get upset, if she can get to her thumb, she calms quickly. She is even doing better riding in the car seat, as long as the sun is not on her.  Ava does not like being in the sun (I call her my vampire baby) and sneezes and squints each time we go outside. I think she may be more fair skinned like Bart, but we will see after spending the summer at the pool. Bring on the SPF 70! She is very talkative when you get her going. She is most interactive with Olivia, but will give most anyone a smile! She loves to kick and can actually dig her feet in to the ground and move herself around now. She has not rolled over yet, but with the way she pushes herself with her legs, that is going to happen any day now. She has also really started reaching out for toys and other items that are in front of her.
