4 Months Old

Hi!

Ava turned 4 months old on Tuesday and had her check up on Monday. Here are her stats:

     Weight: 11 pounds 6.5 ounces (10th%)
     Height: 24 1/4 inches (50th-75th%)
     Head circumference: 15 3/4 inches (25th%)
So she is still a little thing! But she still continues to gain slowly.
     Vaccines: 3 (2 shots and 1 oral) She was not a fan.
     Wearing: Still 0-3 Month, she is starting to wear a lot of her 3-6 months outfits, though they are roomy
     Sleeping: All night long. She goes to bed after her last feeding between 8 and 9 and gets up between 7 and 8am.
     Eating: All breast milk now. She does have some trouble with gas occasionally, which is about the only time she really gets upset and really cries. I am starting to steam and puree some of our fruits and vegetables from what we eat (when I actually cook) for when she starts on solids at the end of the summer.
     Playing: She still enjoys her play mat, especially when Olivia is next to her. She still does not like tummy time, though we are working on that. She rolled over for the first time last week from back to front. She pushes herself around on her back all over her play mat. She has really started holding toys, hair, necklaces, our faces, straps, etc. She is sitting up well enough now to sit in the high chair with us at dinner and even in the Bumbo seat for a few minutes.
     Talking: Ava started "talking" to me in the car during the last week of May. She talks the most in the car when it is just me and her on the way to Mimi and Papa's in the morning or on our way to pick up Olivia. Once Olivia gets in the car, she mostly smiles, laughs, and listens to her. She has also started trying to lean up in her car seat so she can see Olivia and laugh at her.

We finished up the school year last week so now I am home with both girls for the summer. We are looking forward to going to the pool, story time at the library, visits with Lucas, Lindsey, and my parents, and hopefully a few summer projects!
