Weight: 12 pounds 2 ounces (with a diaper and clothes on, she got weighed at the doctor on Monday when I thought she might have an ear infection)
Height: more than 24 1/4 inches because she is fitting in her 3 to 6 month clothes better
Head circumference: we'll find out at her 6 mo. appointment
Vaccines: more at the 6 month appointment
Wearing: 3-6 months outfits
Sleeping: All night long. She goes to bed after her last feeding about 8 and gets up between 8 and 9am. She is also taking one short nap in the morning and a longer one in the afternoon.
Eating: All breast milk now. She does have some trouble with gas occasionally, which is about the only time she really gets upset and really cries. We're hoping to try some fruits this month in her mesh feeders since there are so many good fresh ones available now! I'll begin weaning her and moving her to the bottle in the next few weeks to get us all ready to go to school. She is enjoying sitting in the high chair with us at dinner.
Playing: She still enjoys her play mat and tolerates tummy time, though we are working on that. She does push up with her arms more now when she rolls over to her belly which is pretty often. She chews on EVERYTHING! Ava watches everything Olivia does and is content just to be sitting or laying next to where Olivia is playing. We have had lots of tea parties and dressing up this summer!
Talking: Ava talks a lot! She is most talkative with Olivia, but she talks to us a lot too! She has been squealing and even laughing too! So cute!
Ava also had her first cold this month which she got from Olivia. I spent 3 nights walking or sitting with her so that she could sleep straight up since she woke up every time her nose got stuffy. We went to the doctor to make sure she didn't have an ear infection, but she was all clear. Those 3 nights were worse than being home with a newborn. By the 3rd night, I think she just wanted me to hold her, but we were staying in a hotel room with my parents, sister, and nephew, so I couldn't just let her cry. Once we got home, it took about 30 minutes for her to settle down and sleep all night long again! We both slept good that night!
